THE TRENDY WORD "MILLENNIALS"

The Word "millennials" became a trendy topic when our Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned millennials in one of her addresses while talking about the slowdown in the automobile industry.

She Said  "The automobile and components industry has been affected by BS6 and the mindsets of millennial, who now prefer to have Ola and Uber rather than committing to buying an automobile," 

Upto what Extent this statement is correct or not we are not going to discuss that in this particular blog there are many other blogs who told you about that, our main concern is with this word "MILLENNIALS" .

Is this word "Millenials" is a new word ? or "m/s nirmala sitharaman" Discovered this word by her self ?

Because there are lot of twitter handles who put this word by our finance minister as a joke and reacted as the above statement ("m/s nirmala sitharaman" Discovered this word by her self ) is true, and there are two more hashtag came from this controversy  #BoycottMillennials & #SayitLikeNirmalaTai.

• WHO ALL ARE MILLENNIALS ?

Millennials, also known as Generation Y are the demographic cohort following Generation X and preceding Generation Z. In simple words  if your age is between 23 to 37 years in the year 2019 you are a "MILLENNIAL". or you can say that the kids of 19's will fall under this category. this is the generation who used both from a "FIXED LAND LINE PHONE" to " WIFI" . 

• IS THERE ANY OTHER NAMES AS MILLENNIALS TO DESCRIBE GENERATIONS ?

The answer is yes,  as per researchers they provide name s to each generation according to their living condition and the categories are made in the basis of their year of birth.

THEN COMES THE GENERATION OF MILLENNIALS as we already describe the generation no need to repeat that again 

• 6.Generation Z is the cohort of people born after the Millennials. Demographers and researchers typically use the mid-1990s to early-2000s as starting birth years

• WHO DECIDE THE NAMES OF GENERATION.

The answer is no one, there are some group of intellectuals who made famous these names so, they can we used for different purpose like media trials or marketing purpose. but that is not like that they only have the authorities to decide names in fact, you can decide names for the generation .
